Practice Weekend
In an optional weekend simulating a real day of matches, you'll get the chance to practice Gridlock, get to know the map and its mechanics, and try out startegies ahead of the Open Qualifiers. You can compete in 7 matches over the 8 hours, which won't count towards your competitive standing in the final circuit - this is a completely optional event!Open Qualifiers
This is the first round of competition, taking place over three weekends. Each weekend, you'll play 7 matches in an 8-hour period, and at the end of the weekend all duos with below a 50% win-rate will be eliminated. After the third round, the top 16 teams will qualify for the next stage.
Bracket Stage
Over these two weekends, the remaining 16 teams join the bracket, where each game is streamed live! Teams will be seeded based on their win/loss ratio in the qualifiers, and compete in Best-of-3 matches (four matches per region each weekend). The final 8 teams in each region will qualify for the circuit.
The Circuit
From August to November, the last two weekends of each month will be Circuit matches. The first weekend has a Swiss format, where the 8 teams are separated into round-robin groups of 4 to play Best-of-3 matches. The top 2 teams from each group will compete in a bracket-style tournament in the second weekend, with the winner getting the largest share of that month's $15k prize pool.
The Finals
From each region, the top 2 teams of each Swiss format group will compete for the final prize pool. In the first weekend, each team will a play a Best-of-3 match against each other to decide the seeding for the final bracket. The second weekend is the Final Bracket, with Best-of-3 matches in the semifinals, and a Best-of-5 match for the final to earn the grand prize from their region's prize pool.
