Changes
This page is about changes to vanilla mechanics for Gridlock.

Gridlock aims to provide as vanilla an experience as possible. However, for technical reasons, or to enhance gameplay, some mechanics and functionality differ from vanilla Minecraft, as detailed below:
- Beds, End Crystals and Respawn Anchors will no longer damage enemy players when clicked by a player in the End or Nether. The explosions will destroy blocks and damage mobs as before.
- The weather cycle will be disabled - meaning no rain, snow, thunder storms, or other weather conditions.
- Several time-based mechanics will be sped up to take 3 minutes. This includes curing Zombie Villagers, hatching Sniffer eggs, drying out & growing Happy Ghasts, and Raids.
- Happy Ghasts speed has been increased by 100% (this does not include the Drop In Happy Ghast)
- Animal Spawn Rate has been increased 10x (from the vanilla rate)
- Monster Spawn Rate has been decreased 5x (from the vanilla rate)
- Certain mobs have guaranteed spawns in set locations

- Chicken Jockey/Spider Jockey
- Ghasts
- Evokers
- Witch
- Zombie Villagers
- Allay
- Vindicators
- Elder Guardians
Loot Changes
- When opening an Ominous Vault, you are guaranteed to given a Heavy Core
- Drowned holding a Trident will have a 100% chance to drop the trident
- Wither Skeletons will have a 20% chance of dropping a skull
- Endermen will have a 100% of dropping an enderpearl
- Suspicious Sand/Gravel will have a 75% chance of dropping Pottery Shards
