Scoring

All points values are subject to change after playtesting and balancing.

Categories

Each category of objective has a different point value associated with it:

  • Simple: 1 point each (10 points total)
  • Complex: 2 points each (14 points total)
  • Team: 2 points each (4 points total)
  • Opponent: 3 points
  • Quests #1 and #2: 3 points each (6 points total)
  • Quests #3 and #4: 4 points each (8 points total)
  • Quest #5: 5 points

Gridlines

Additionally, Gridlines are vertical, horizontal, or diagonal lines of completed objectives on the board. Gridlines are worth the total value of all squares in that line, effectively acting as a 2x multiplier for those squares.

Win Conditions

At the end of the 30 minute game, the team with the most points wins. However, if a team obtains an insurmountable lead earlier (i.e. more than half the total points available on the board), the game will end early - this is called a Total Gridlock!

Tiebreakers

In the event of a tie at the end of the 30 minutes, a winner will be decided based on these factors in order:

  1. The team that has completed the most Quest Objectives wins.
  2. If still tied, the team with the most squares completed wins.
  3. If still tied, the team that completed the first square in the game wins.

If neither team has any activity of note within the 30 minutes, both teams will be awarded a loss.
