Combat & Respawning
It's worth remembering that PvP is enabled! Some objectives will require you to attack or kill your opponents, so be aware of incoming attacks. Keep Inventory is enabled, meaning you won't lose your items when you die.
Setting a respawn point like in traditional Minecraft doesn't work in Gridlock - instead, you'll respawn after a timer on the Happy Ghast you used to ride into the map (your respawn timer increases with how many points you have).
The Happy Ghast will set out on the same course as your initial quadrant drop in location from the start of the match, but you will not have a firework or be able to use any you crafted beforehand. You will receive Weakness 255 until you land.
Extraction
Extraction is a mechanic that speeds up how your team traverses the map.
To activate it, open the bingo board menu by pressing "L" (by default), and click the "Extract" button. Extraction takes 7 seconds to complete, and in this time, moving, taking damage or crouching will cancel the process.
When the 7 seconds are up, you will remount your Happy Ghast in the sky, flying the same path as the quadrant you chose at the start of the game. You will receive an elytra and firework, your food level will be replenished, and you will receive Weakness 255 until you land.
When dropping in, either from Extraction or death, your elytra will be removed upon switching dimensions (e.g. entering a nether portal).
