Get Ready to Play!
These are instructions for getting ready to participate in the Gridlock Open Qualifiers!
Dates/Times
The Gridlock Open Qualifiers Weekend will take place over 3 weekends, with EU always taking place on Saturdays, and NA always taking place on Sundays.

- EU Start Time: 6AM ET (3am PT / 11am BST / 12pm CEST)
- NA Start Time: 12PM ET (9am PT / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST)
- All sessions will last a total of 8 hours. At the 8 hour mark, the queue will be closed, and all active games will be allowed to finish.
- You can play a maximum of 7 games.
- You can join at any point during the 8 hours, but we recommend joining within the first 3 and a half hours to ensure you can complete all your games.
Qualifying
- After Weekend 1, the top 256 alliances (based on the below metrics) will advance to Weekend 2
- After Weekend 2, the top 64 alliances (based on the below metrics) will advance to Weekend 3
- After Weekend 3, the top 16 alliances (based on the below metrics) will advance to the Bracket Stage
Ranking Metrics: The metrics used to determine the top duos at the end of each weekend are (in order) are as follows:
- Win Count
- Matches Played
- Average Win Count of all opponents faced (excluding one with the lowest win count)
- Average Proportional Point Differential in matches won
- Calculated by taking away the losing alliance's score by the winning alliance's score.
- If an alliance has 0 wins, this metric will be 0
- Random Choice
Ranking Metrics are not carried over from previous weekends. They may be evaluated throughout the session, but only the ranking that is calculated after all matches are complete will be final.
Client/Mods
You should make sure your client is setup before the session starts, to avoid any delays!
You can find the list of allowed mods here. Only the mods on that list are allowed, using any others could result in your disqualifcation.

Streaming
It is required to stream on either YouTube or Twitch to participate in Gridlock. You must stream on the account you have linked to your profile, which you can change in your Account Settings.
While streaming, you must stream at a reasonable quality, include microphone audio, and have your VODs enabled and publicly viewable. You can find a full list of here.
The primary broadcast will be streamed on YouTube/Couriway, YouTube/Gridlock, Twitch/Couriway, and Twitch/EvilGeniuses.
Rules
It is your responsibility to read and understand the rules of the tournament. Failure to follow them may result in your disqualifcation.
Issues
If you encounter any issues during any of the Open Qualifier sessions, please use the #support chat in the Discord.
If you need to report another player for cheating, chat abuse, or any other rule violations, use the /report <player>
command in game to alert a staff member!
In the event of a bug occuring during a match, you can report it to the staff team, and we will handle it on a case-by-case basis.
